Ball Mill

Ball Mill

The VIRA Engineering Ball Mill is designed for fine grinding and material size reduction through impact and attrition. A cylindrical shell rotates on heavy-duty rollers, partially filled with grinding media such as steel and ceramic balls. The material is fed into the primary compartment where large media reduce particle size, then moves into the secondary compartment for finer grinding.

The mill shell is fabricated from heavy-duty mild steel with abrasion-resistant lining for extended durability. The drive system consists of a girth gear, pinion, gearbox, and motor, mounted on a robust base frame for smooth operation.

Advantages

  • High-capacity, continuous operation
  • Suitable for wet and dry grinding
  • Robust and heavy-duty design
  • Abrasion-resistant lining (Manganese steel / Rubber)
  • Flexible grinding media selection
  • Low maintenance with long service life
